Then the output from mii-tool is understandable. But if you want to use
the faster switch, please give us the output from mii-tool with the faster
switch.

Yes. But if mii-tool is reporting no autonegotiation or 10Mbit half-duplex 
for the faster switch, then I don't think that they will have any 
influence.
