well, I think upload the linux firmware through web
(http://hri.sf.net/hw/smc7004abr/flashlinux.html)
is far more easier than that sram card magic I
had to do in the past with eumitcomm... easier than
that, only a CF card on pcengenius or soekris ;-)

smc7004abr was a complete success. with program to make
firmware based on kernel / ramdisk files (that you
could use to upload through web), a procedure to restore
original flash, very good work from Petr Novak

I'm to modify mkfirm.c to generate a firmware to my
smc7004vwbr (old revision). this working, we will have
at least two successfull ports running, with detailed
procedures on how to repeat it. :-)

about ramdisk, I'm between adding a uClinux branch
to linuxap (as I'm familiar with it) or to make the
few modifications needed to port Midori uClinux to
both abr/vwbr hardwares.

please let's continue this privately or through HRI
list to not bother other posters with this somewhat
off-topic talk, ok?
