Just for the hell of it, I made some inquiries of Mr Dornier at pcengines.com and he could build a unit with PCMCIA slot, 64MB RAM, an empty SODIMM slot for RAM expansion capability, and boot off CF slot, price would come in at around $90 in quantity... to that cost you'd have to add a case to put the board into, the power transformer, and the wifi radio and CF card (for mass production, a cheapo wifi radio could be had for around $8 I would think, but the serious user would want to upgrade that to something better I'm sure)
