Is there ANY distro (old or new) where Linear Flash/SRAM cards are
detected with the stock install?  I have spare computers and I would not
mind using them just to get this show on the road.

Knopix was mentioned, but I booted with 3.3 and it was not able to
recognize my cards (two-tone beep).
