Here's a new, lower-profile way to help alert users who are vulnerable to third-party tracking: the un-tracking pixel. http://blog.aloodo.org/misc/howto/#pixel This lets your site participate without having to add any JavaScript or visible warnings. It sets a long "Expires" time to avoid loading the pixel for every page. You still need the script if you want to show a visible warning, but the pixel is a way to help other sites that do run the script. (Good for WordPress.com sites where you can't add third-party JS, too.) -- Don Marti <[email protected]> http://zgp.org/~dmarti/ Are you safe from 3rd-party web tracking? http://www.aloodo.org/test/ _______________________________________________ Do not Cc: anyone else on mail sent to this list.
