I've added a patch aimed at kernel 2.4.30 to the fr1-2.17.tgz archive
(ftp://oboe.it.uc3m.es/pub/Programs/).  I only know that it compiles.

I went through the raid1.c patch hunk by hunk (all 38 of them), by eye,
line by line.  I didn't look at any other of the files, since there were
no rejects from them for the 2.4.24 patch I started with, and no compile
complaints either.

Let me know if it fries something it should not.
