kernel panic after insmod

Dear all,
I am trying to load the enbd kernel driver on CentOS
4.3 linux with 2.6.9 kernel. I am using the last
version of the enbd -> nbd-2.4.33pre.tgz. I have no
problems compiling the last version with gcc (GCC)
3.4.5 20051201 (Red Hat 3.4.5-2), but when i try to
insmod/modprobe the kernel driver I get a kernel panic
after 5 seconds and this text in /var/log/messages:
