Extracting associated source volume of snapshot

Hi,

I am using EVMS APIs. Given a volume, I want to find if it is a
snapshot of another volume. Or given a volume, I want to find the
snapshot volumes of that volume.

All that I could get is the "Snapshot" plugin type for the variable
plugin in the storage_object_info_t pointed by the 'object' member from
logical_volume_info_t structure of given volume. I get this plugin type
for both source volume and snapshot volume.

I have observed that under some versions "associated_volume" member
exists for logical_volume_info_t structure. I am not sure if this serves
the purpose for me but I can not use this as this member does not exist
in my system's headers.

Please let me know if there is any guaranteed way.

Thanks
Sudhakar
