Hi, I'm maintaining the EVMS-Package for Gentoo Linux and one of our users reported two problems on a Mac which I think aren't Distribution-dependant: i) The disk is already partitioned with an Apple Partition Map on it and he tries to create new regions. As it seems now, evms tries to use the DOS segment manager instead of the mac segment manager and the users has to remove the dos segment manager to force the usage of the other one. Do you have an idea, how this could be handled? Our bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159741 ii) Probable related to bug i). While the kernel displays /dev/hda[1-7], evms creates the device-nodes /dev/evms/hda[1-5]. According to the user, /dev/evms/hda1 is /dev/hda3, etc. Any ideas? Our bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159838 Thanks in advance, Greets Tiziano Mueller (Gentoo Developer-Nickname: dev-zero, also on irc.freenode.org) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
