Creating shared containers

I'm a bit confused about which order things should be created in when
using EVMS to define shared storage on a SAN.

Lets say a SAN is exposing 13 LUNs of various sizes to more than one
node which is to be used as shared storage (ocfs2).

The 13 devices are to be combined into one storage area.

Would you use drive linking to combine them all and then create a CSM
segment on top of that? Followed by an EVMS volume?

Or do you create CSM containers on all the devices and then combine them
with drive linking followed by an EVMS volume?

There seems to be many ways to accomplish the same thing but is there
one right way?

Currently I have it layered as follows:

EVMS Volume -> Drive Link -> CSM -> Disks

And I'm having quite a few problems with EVMS, mainly that its very slow
to activate. Even evms_query takes huge amounts of time to complete.

BTW, what is the proper command to have EVMS display the configuration
to the command line suitable for pasting in an email?
