Hello Everyone,
I am trying to create a snap shot with evms.
I am using evms-2.3.3-52 (patched oes suse linux).
Kernel 2.6.5-7.283
I am trying to snap-shot a multipath eva volume that
is inside a container to a second multipath eva disk.
the volume is
/dev/evms/c1/g1
the second disk is also multipathed , but I tired
turing off multipathing on that disk.
when I try to create the snapshot I get back a message
saying "invalid handle"
I have tried several different methods, but none seem
to work.
My question is I have a multipath volume in a evms
cluster container. What do i need to do to create a
snapshot?
I try the evms:
create:object,Snapshot={original=/dev/evms/c1/d1,snapshot="snapper",writeable=flase,chunksize=64kb},sdd1
response:
sdd1 was rejected with error:Invalid argument
I try creating a volume and creating containers and
putting sdd1 in them. I also tried just sdd. Anyone
have any idea?
best regards,
Martin Roby
