Hello .
well , i backed up problematic disk using dd to spare drive and then
recovered the partition by using fsck.reiserfs on other computer.
it is very critical data , so want return it back to production server ASAP .
but i still dont understand why it happened.

i running number of raid arrays on storage server .
/dev/sde1 was exported as /dev/evms/files volume.
/dev/sdd1 was used for snapshots .
i deleted /dev/sdd array with RAID management utility but forgot to
remove snapshot of /dev/evms/files .
it caused IO errors , so i restarted the server ( before restarting i
still was able to access files on /dev/evms/files )
after restart /dev/evms/files disappeared . evmsgui showed /dev/sde1
as partition without filesystem.

where evms information on this partition disappeared?
crashing or removing of disk that holds the snapshot may cause such problems?
thanks.
