That didn't solve the problem but...thanks! You pointed me to the root of
the problem. I always used gentoo patched kernels: they offers the "bad
block relocation device target", unlike vanilla kernels. I don't know why
vanilla kernels aren't providing this feature, but I know I was using it.
I haven't tryed yet, but I already verified a module, dm-bbr.ko, is lacking
from my just compiled kernel 2.6.24-rc2. This patch [1] should reenable it
on a vanilla kernel, I'll try later.
