According to a recent posting here that is very difficult to accomplish. Plus, we used the evms disk spanning (or whatever it's called) to make all the LUNs on the SAN appear as one device. I also think we made the mistake of not partitioning the devices first rather just applying it directly to the raw device. When I examine the LUN with fdisk it just shows completely free space. I doubt this will be easy to convert back to LVM. However, I'll probably give it a try first just to see but I'm not optimistic. If anyone has any tips please feel free to share them.
