Hi, I'm trying to install Failsafe on a pilot system, and I have run into some difficulties with FailSafe-mgr. following the instructions, and executing make rpm, then build process hangs when attempting to compile the java source in: /FailSafe-mgr/build/rpm/rpmroot/BUILD/sysadm_failsafe-0.9.1a/packages/com/sgi/fsmgr/category Command being executed is: CLASSPATH=../../../..:/usr/lib/sysadm/java/sysadm.jar:/usr/lib/sysadm/java/sysadmP.jar:/usr/lib/sysadm/java/swingall.jar /usr/jdk118/bin/javac -d ../../../.. ClusterCategoryRenderers.java CommonRenderers.java FailoverPolicyRenderers.java FilteredCategory.java ItemBasedTableModel.java MachineCategoryRenderers.java NameRenderers.java ResourceCategoryRenderers.java ResourceGroupRenderers.java ResourceTypeRenderers.java Top reports that java is consuming a significant amount of the cpu: PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 30982 root 15 0 2004 2004 912 R 97.4 1.5 39:46 java Any advice? I'm assuming that I don't need this stuff in order to create a cluster, but these sorts of tools are useful, and I'd like to be able to evaluate their viability. I've installed IBM's JDK/JRE version 118 # rpm -qa | grep -i ibm IBMJava118-JRE-1.1.8-5.0 IBMJava118-SDK-1.1.8-5.0 Regards, -- Malcolm Cowe.
