That is mostly true; the future of Open Source FailSafe is not looking
too well, or rather: it's not being actively developed at all any
longer, as I've stated on this list months ago.

As far as I know, SGI isn't working on the Linux port either, definetely
not on the Open Source version.

It is a pity, but without SGI's help, we were unable to continue. The
breakdown in the end of 2001/2002 hindered development both on SUSE as
well as SGI side, and the effects were less than amusing.

However, we (SUSE) are now definetely gearing up to bring some of the
features from FailSafe to heartbeat. I finally managed to get that
project rolling; it took some effort to secure the resources after the
crisis, but it's looking good once more.

If you are curious, please have a look at the crm/crm.txt file in the
heartbeat CVS which outlines the scope and goals of that project at a
pretty technical level.
