cannot get ATI Rage XL / Mach64GM to use 1600x1200 in X on a hp L2035 LCD

With framebuffer console I get the full resolution, like this:

Can I somehow convert that to a X Modeline, so it uses exactly the same
mode in X?
I tried this, but I cannot get X to use it:
