That's pretty interesting.  I wouldn't have noticed that, because the only
filesystem I use ACLs on is the one Samba is sharing.

Does anyone have a set of steps that reliably causes this to happen?  It's
going to be hard to get it debugged unless we can come up with that.

Also, is it only ext2 and ext3, or does it occur with Reiser and XFS as
well?  (I ask partly because it might be worth it to me to switch
filesystems if it'd avoid this problem.  Yes, it's *that* aggravating for
me.)
