Either use the current cvs version of coreutils which has acl support built 
in, or the coreutils patches from OpenSuSE,

Note that the coreutils cvs doesn't have xattr support; if you want cp and mv 
to preserve xattrs as well, use the OpenSUSE patch.

(I'll make a mental note to push the xattr patch upstream.)
