Please help, I'm getting mad !

I installed linux Operating System 2.4.22. Unfortunately no acl kernel support.
So I installed and compiled kernel 2.4.24 + acl patch (ea+acl+nfsacl+sec-2.4.24-0.8.69.diff).
I remount partition with acl option.

Everything went well: I can use setfacl, getfacl command normally but there is no chance to get '+' sign when I type ls command, that's always not displayed.

This is an example:

[root@FedoraTest root]#
[root@FedoraTest root]# setfacl -m u:andrea:rwx install.log
[root@FedoraTest root]# getfacl install.log
# file: install.log
# owner: root
# group: root
user::rw-
user:andrea:rwx
group::r--
mask::rwx
other::r--

[root@FedoraTest root]# ls -l
totale 64
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root         1380  3 ago 16:49 anaconda-ks.cfg
drwxr-xr-x    2 root     root         4096  3 ago 16:54 Desktop
-rw-rwxr--    1 root     root        48844  3 ago 16:47 install.log
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root         3726  3 ago 16:47 install.log.syslog
[root@FedoraTest root]#

I expect to see -rw-rwxr--+ but plus sign is missing !!!

here additional information

[root@FedoraTest root]# ls --version
ls (coreutils) 5.0

Could you please help me ?

Thanks in advance
Andrea Toia
