Copy file to dir above your kernel source
gunzip ea+acl+nfsacl+sec-2.4.24-0.8.69.diff.gz
A patch always works from a source dir to a destination dir
look for the source dir in your file
vi ea+acl+nfsacl+sec-2.4.24-0.8.69.diff
ln -s patchsourcedir kernelsourcedir
Do a dry run,
patch -p1 --dry-run < ea+acl+nfsacl+sec-2.4.24-0.8.69.diff
or
patch -p0 --dry-run < ea+acl+nfsacl+sec-2.4.24-0.8.69.diff
If everything workd ouy, ommiy the dry run and execute the patch
Regards,
Robert
