accent in filename and copy of directory

Hi,

Thanks for this great software, it should help me to recover data on an 
old mac HD whose computer is broken. But I have 2 difficulties with it.

I have an old broken mac that I want to recover the file it have. It's 
format is hfs+. I installed hfsplus and I mounted it under the last 
stable version of ubuntu.

I have 2 troubles with hfsplus.
1) when I try copy file with hpcopy it tell their is not file or 
directory under this name. But when I do hpls, I see this exact name! 
What I suspect is that the original filename have french accent but hpls 
do not print them. If I try to copy with the french accent, hpcopy 
freeze. Do you know how to copy those file? Is it possible to copy the 
file with the file id number instead of the filename?

2) I would like to copy my whole hard drive to my current drive. But 
when I do "hpcopy . /my/destination" it do not work. Also if I give it a 
directory name as the source it do not work. In both case the error is 
that the file do not exist. Is their a way to copy the whole disk?
