[PATCH v3 9/9] KVM: selftests: exercise guest_memfd folio migration

Shivank Garg <[email protected]> Wed, 5 Aug 2026 06:40:38 +0000
Newsgroups gmane.linux.documentation,gmane.linux.file-systems,gmane.linux.kernel.mm,gmane.linux.kernel,gmane.comp.emulators.kvm.devel
Message-ID <[email protected]>
Add a move_pages() test for guest_memfd. Allocate the folios on one NUMA
node, move them to another node and back, and verify their location and
contents after each move.

Migration is opt-in so verify that migration fails without
GUEST_MEMFD_FLAG_MIGRATABLE and succeeds with the flag set. Also run
the existing guest_memfd tests with the flag set.
