About: 3rd Edition Dungeons and Dragons Character Generator is an
HTML/JavaScript Web page that allows the user to quickly and easily create
new Dungeons and Dragons characters. The characters can be of any of the
eleven classes, any of the playable races, and may start at any level from
1 to 220. Generation requires some simple input, after which the character
is displayed on a basic character sheet. It allows you to select your
starting stats, add ability points, and pick skills, equipment, feats, and
spells. It runs on most operating systems with most modern browsers.

About: fig2ps is a script for converting xfig files to PS or PDF,

About: gpgdir is a Perl script that uses the CPAN GnuPG module to encrypt
and decrypt directories using a GPG key specified in ~/.gpgdirrc. It
supports recursively descending through a directory in order to make sure
it encrypts or decrypts every file in a directory and all of its
subdirectories. All file mtime and atime values are preserved across
encryption and decryption operations. In addition, gpgdir is careful not
to encrypt hidden files and directories.

About: log4sh is a logging framework for shell scripts that works similar
to the other wonderful logging products available from the Apache Software
Foundataion (eg. log4j, log4perl). Although not as powerful as the others,
it can make the task of adding advanced logging to shell scripts easier,
and has much more power than just using simple "echo" commands throughout.
In addition, it can be configured from a properties file so that scripts in
a production environment do not need to be altered to change the amount of
logging they produce.
Changes: The previous release worked well on Linux with Bash, but died
horribly under Solaris and Cygwin, as well as with ksh. Thanks to much
improved unit tests and more testing, this release works properly again
under Linux, Solaris, and Cygwin with the Bourne, Bourne Again, and Korn

About: Mesk is a PyGtk+ audio player that supports multiple playlists and
plugins.
Changes: Gstreamer 0.10 is now used, and 0.8 is no longer supported.
Multiple playlists can be used at once, with the ability to cut, copy, and
paste between them. Support for Ogg Vorbis was added. Remote (HTTP) audio
and playlist support was added, including HTTP authentication. A context
menu was added to the playlist. The volume can now be controlled using the
mouse wheel, a scale slider, or the context menu. Album covers can now be
loaded from the ID3 tag. The Gajim status plugin now prefixes the tune
status with "♫:" instead of "np:".

About: MP3FS is a read-only FUSE filesystem that transcodes FLAC audio
files to MP3 on the fly when opened and read. It is useful to enable the
use of your FLAC collection with software and/or hardware that only
understands MP3s. It is also a novel alternative to traditional MP3
encoder applications. Just use your favorite file browser to select the
files you want encoded, and copy them somewhere.
Changes: A crash which occurred when releasing non-FLAC files was fixed.

About: mysqlblasy is a Perl script for automating MySQL database backups.
It uses "mysqldump" for dumping mysql databases to the files sytem. It was
written with automated usage in mind. For example, it is silent during
operation, and only produces noise on errors/problems. It rotates backups
automatically to prevent the backup disk from getting full when the
administrator is on vacation (or is lazy).
Changes: The "defaults-extra-file" config option was added, which can be
used instead of specifying the username/password/host directly in the
config file. The "dbhost" config paramater is now also used for the backup
filename. If you use the new "defaults-extra-file" for remote backups, this
key is still needed to set the filename. Code formatting and minor fixes
were done.

About: ncc is a C source code analyzer which generates program flow and
variable usage information. Using it should be as easy as changing CC=gcc
to CC=ncc in makefiles, and effort has been made to support most common
gcc extensions. ncc has been tested with the sources of the Linux kernel,

HTML. All you need to do is to write a simple calling program (a utility to

Changes: Support for checkboxes and radio buttons was added. A PHP
evaluation feature was added to the certain cells processing. The setup
script prints version info into the generated file. Icons were changed to

such as the "!" and "!!" aliases. The "Table widget" can be customized with
three themes: classic, strong, and boxed. Support for MOD files was added
in the file info system. The first letter of the command name is now used
for playlist commands. Also, pressing Enter does not quit, and the user
has to explicitly specify it by pressing "q".

About: ypbind-mt is a multi-threaded implementation of a NIS binding
daemon. ypbind-mt compiles and works on Linux with glibx 2.x (libc6). It
should work on every System with POSIX threads and glibc 2.x. It works
under Linux with libc5 and linuxthreads 0.7.1, but this C library isn't
really thread safe and shouldn't be used with threads.
Changes: ypbind has now DBUS support to watch network status messages from
NetworkManager (if NetworkManager is used).
