About: AFNIX is a multi-threaded functional programming language with
dynamic symbol bindings that support the object oriented paradigm. It has
a rich set of features providing runtime compatibility with C++. The
engine runs on both 32- and 64-bit platforms, and it is designed to be
portable across platforms.

Changes: This minor release fixes a problem with the lexical analyzer
incorrectly parsing some floating point numbers and fixes problems in the
standard I/O documentation. Print media support is now available in the
documentation.

About: Apparix enables fast file system navigation by bookmarking
directories and later jumping to them using the mark. The contributed bash
completion code allows one to complete on bookmarks and on subdirectories
of the target directory.

Changes: In the presence of a hundred bookmarks or more, apparix would
crash due to erroneous memory management. This bug is now fixed.

About: BASIC-256 is a simple BASIC IDE that allows young children to learn
to program. It was written in response to David Brin's article, "Why Johnny
Can't Code," in which he bemoans the lack of a simple, line-oriented
programming language for children that runs on modern computers. It
features a byte-code compiler and interpreter, a debugger, easy to use
graphical and text output, and an editor.

Changes: This release adds a step-through debugger, numerous user
interface enhancements in the editor, a PAUSE command that halts execution
for a specified time with sub-second precision, a LINE command that draws
lines in the graphics output, and various bugfixes. With this release, the
project has changed its name from KidBASIC to BASIC-256 to avoid confusion
with another project.

About: Brighton Chilli is an effort to promote the BSD's in the Wifi field
by providing a flash image and bootable ISO with Chillispot for easy
rollout of managed Wifi hotspots. Initial releases will be based on
FreeBSD, with the aim of covering Open and NetBSD later. The image
contains software under various licenses.

Changes: Support for WPA and 802.11i was added to the kernel. Support for
Atheros chipset cards was added to the kernel. A typo in chilli.conf was
fixed, so chilli should redirect to the right file now. A patch for
chillispots hotspotlogin.cgi was applied to enable it to work with
lighttpd. The cgi-bin directory was moved to /var mfs so that it's on a
writable filesystem, allowing hotspotlogin.cgi to be edited. Chillispot
was added to rc.conf. Serial console redirection now works. The loader
logo was changed to beastie.

About: Conary is a distributed software management system for Linux
distributions. It replaces traditional package management solutions (such
as RPM and dpkg) with one designed to enable loose collaboration across
the Internet. It enables sets of distributed and loosely connected
repositories to define the components which are installed on a Linux
system. Rather than having a full distribution come from a single vendor,
it allows administrators and developers to branch a distribution, keeping
the pieces which fit their environment while grabbing components from
other repositories across the Internet.

Changes: The "conary migrate" command now functions correctly when
applying critical updates as part of the migration (such as updating
conary itself). Most other significant changes involve building software
with Conary: shared libraries now provide filenames as well as DT_SONAME

"cvc refresh" command is improved. Committing binaries to the repository

convert from MetaStock binary data (MASTER and Fxxx.DAT) format to

performance drastically. This release has a new feature in asc2ms to
forcewrite the database if the files are locked. Performance tuning has

About: smtpd is a lightweight mail server whose sole purpose is to receive
incoming messages and deliver them to local users. Its main "feature" (or
non-feature, really) is to be completely unable to relay messages to
adjacent servers: if an incoming message is not addressed to a local
mailbox, smtpd will reject it. Another convenient feature is its automatic
grey-listing of clients that allows you to efficiently reject spammers
based on their behaviour. It can handle incoming email traffic for an
unlimited number of domains (i.e. act as a MX for these domains) without
the need for any configuration (other than creation of users' mailboxes).

About: xBaK is a fan-made remake of the classic Sierra computer RPG
"Betrayal at Krondor". It is a game engine that uses the data files that
came with the original game by Sierra Online. You must already have your
own copy, since the required data files are not distributed with xBaK. The
game is still under development. The intro, the option dialogs, and the
main game dialog are finished, but the game is not yet playable. Several
tools for examining the contents of the data files are also available.

Changes: The character info/statistics dialog has been implemented. The
character data is loaded from the startup game file. A null audio driver
has been added, which is dependent upon SDL_mixer and SDL_sound, but does
not output any sound.

About: XDBCMS is a Web-based, multi-user CMS that can manage any number of
Web sites, each site with any number of pages, and each site organised in a
tree-based menu that can be any depth. Where XDBCMS differs from most
content management systems is that it actually generates a stand-alone Web
site, which requires no database to drive it, can be 'released' to any Web
server, and would be able to cope with very large numbers of users. For
the authors, it features a WYSIWYG editor, similar to MS-Word in
appearance, allowing full control over the format (tables, fonts,
graphics, etc.) of each individual page. It allows multiple authors and
features a group-based security system.

Changes: XDBCMS now uses CSS based layout techniques, making it possible
to completely re-skin the application. PHP mechanisms have now been
updated so that it is no longer necessary to have the SET GLOBALS set to
true. This means that XDBCMS can now be installed onto servers where admin
privileges are not available. New graphics have been implemented, and the
TinyMCE editor has been upgraded.
