About: Fityk is nonlinear curve-fitting and data analysis software. It
allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least
squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic
algorithm, or Nelder-Mead simplex method. It only knows about common
bell-shaped functions (Gaussian, Loretzian, Pearson 7, Voigt,
Pseudo-Voigt) and polynomials, but more sophisticated formulae can be
easily added if necessary. It also enables background substracting, data
calibration, and task automation with a simple script language. It is
being developed to analyze powder diffraction patterns, but is also used
in chromatography, photoluminescence, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy,
and can be used to fit analytical functions to any kind of data. The most
similar program to Fityk is probably PeakFit.

An information script on each volume tells where a certain file may be

Changes: DVD-RW media is now blanked automatically. Checksum information
is stored on backup media. This release has redundant and repairable

supported by most SSH servers. It is based on Filesystem in Userspace

About: wyoEditor is a cross-platform editor based on the Scintilla editor
component. The editor has the usual features like fast editing, unlimited
undo/redo, syntax colouring, and folding for many different programming
languages. It also has a class browser, currently only for C++, and keeps
the class/function display updated. The editor allows editing of files in
tabbed notebook pages and/or separate top level windows. It supports
context-sensitive help of any kind of documentation (e.g. programming
framework descriptions) if provided as help files. The editor conforms to
the wxGuide guidelines using the wxWidgets framework.
Changes: More Unicode problems have been fixed, and it builds correctly in
Unicode mode. A loop lock in the C++ class browser when "void main(" was
the last text in the buffer has been fixed. A missing menu enabler for
"Show ..." menu entries under GTK has been added. The preferences for
"Convert to spaces/tabs" have been reenabled.

About: XOM is an XML object model. It is a tree-based API for processing
XML with Java that simultaneously supports streaming. In many use-cases,
it can process arbitrarily large documents with effectively constant
