I believe yam can do repo mirroring, yes, although I don't know
the details.
My yum-pull script ( http://www.stearns.org/yum-pull/ ) will pull
down 19 different modules (core, atrpms, dag, dries, freshrpms...) for 25
different distributions.
The docs are incomplete at this point, but getting there:
