FreshRPMs Folks: I'm about to embark on building RPMs for all of RequestTracker's horrible dependencies, and if things go well, for RequestTracker itself. Has anyone else already done (or attempted) this? I'd like to know before I spend a whole lot of time working on it. ;-) I suspect the total list of added RPMs with dependencies from a fresh CentOS system is about 75. My plan is: 1) Identify RequestTracker's specific dependencies 2) Identify the dependencies on those in 1) 3) Repeat until I have the complete list 4) Use cpan2rpm to build RPMs for The List 5) Install these RPMs on a test system 6) See if RequestTracker installs manually under those circumstances 7) Try for an RequestTracker RPM What do you all think? -- Steve RequestTracker: http://www.bestpractical.com/rt/ cpan2rpm: http://perl.arix.com/cpan2rpm/
