FC4, mplayer and ffmpeg libavcodec hanging on mms streams

Hi,

I installed mplayer and the ffmpeg codec from freshrpms for FC4. I have 
a problem as after about 15 to 20 mins of running an mms stream, mplayer 
hangs and doesn't respond to any commands.

If I press ctrl-c it stops mplayer and says that mplayer quit in audio 
decode module.

Can anyone help?
