Is it too much to ask for someone designing an internet delivery
mechanism to understand existing practices and infrastructure?
Squid has been around a long time and is in place where it needs
to be.  It doesn't make sense for every application to have its
own quirky way to fix a solved problem.  Look, for example at what
nslookup returns for www.ibm.com.
