re: create a src rpm

hi all

i want to find out how to create a src rpm
i need to make a ffmpeg rpm for a couple of systems we have
one is a redhat 9 box
and the other is a redhat el3 box

i have tried the src rpm from dag.wieers.com
but it is not new enough, only build 4730, i need build 4750+ to get the 3gp
support necessary

at least i think that is the case
i have tried converting a 3gp file to wmv with build 4730 (rpm), but the
video is too fast
i have also tried converting a 3gp file to wmv using build 4751 (src), and
it works
not sure if it's because it's built from src, or because it's a newer
version

i already pretty much have the spec file, just need to know how i can make a
newer srpm file to use
