Because the packages linked from http://cvs.cinelerra.org/ are binaries only (no source rpm in sight...), and that they're of version 1.2.3, whereas Cinelerra has been updated to 2.0 a little while back. Maybe you were referring to the original Heroinewarrior version, which is somewhat different, as it is a big monolithic source tree with all required libraries included (31M), whereas the cinelerra.org version is meant to be more modular (16M source) and doesn't include as many library snapshots to statically link to.
