Correct. Up until now, I have been using the amule v2 and wxGTK packages
from amule.org. However, you have been faster then they have about
creating an amule v2.1 rpm. Obviously, when I went to install yours, I
first removed (rpm -e) the older amule.org package. Then I tried
removing their wxGTK package as well, but I keep getting the same
dependency errors.

No problem. But actually I thought 2.6 was introduced for amule v2 in
May of last year; at least I have been using it since then.
