Has anyone working on the 1.5.0.1 RPM noticed this bug? -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [alg] FireFox weirdness, cont'd. Date: Tue, 28 Feb 2006 15:20:18 -0600 From: Jim Parkhurst <[email protected]> Reply-To: The Austin (TX) Linux and General Discussion Mailing List <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sounds like a bug. >>> I recently upgraded FireFox to v1.5.0.1 which presents a couple of odd things not experienced in previous releases. I spoke too soon about the failure to load problem. I appears that FireFox now works only if it is the first application run after starting xwindows. Any other application being run first causes a FireFox failure to load. There is a short disk access and the cursor displays the usual "busy indicator" until the load attempt simply times out. The result is the same if FireFox is called from the command line in an xterm except that there's no "busy" indicator while it times out.
