FC5t3: xine weirdness

Hallo,
 I recently installed FC5t3 on my x86_64 box, updated to the last 
rawhide and added the freshrpms development repo. Everything seems to 
work fine, but Xine.
Xine opens 2 forms, one bigger that would be where the video gets 
played, and one smaller with the splash screen effect. When opening a 
dvd, it's executed in the smaller window, which is by no means clickable 
with the mouse, while th biggest window, that is able to open the drop 
menu, stay black.
But, you can click some (invisible) "buttons" on the black screen and 
the video in the small window gets played. Funny uh? So, while mouse 
controls are applied to the bigger window, the video gets played in the 
smaller one.
I tried several GUI tweaks with no success.

Notice that in xine-startup in the blue field there's the splash screen, 
while in xine-dvd there's a playing movie.
Any suggestion/fix/whatever?
