Woohoo! Now it works (almost) perfectly!
I've noticed just a small bug: when using the opengl driver, dvd menus 
won't show animations, like mouse selections etc. They work well anyway, 
and using the xv driver solves this. I'm using the proprietary nVidia 
driver on a GeForce FX 5500.
