Actually, apt is being developed again by Panu and it has support for 
multilib now as well as support for repomd repository format (the same 
format as yum supports).

This means you can use apt on yum repositories without a problem. The 
first release candidate has been released and you can find packages at:

	http://dag.wieers.com/packages/apt/

Since dries is doing the FC4 and FC5 packages, you have to fetch them from 
him.
