Problem with xine and lirc

Hello,

I recently upgraded my Mythtv frontend this week from FC4->FC5 due to a
failed hard drive.

All of my rpms are from freshrpms and atrpms.

I had a good backup of everything and I thought it would be simple to
get things working again.

However, I have run into a problem with xine and lirc.

I can't seem to get xine to respond to lirc. Everything else is working
in mythv using the same config file I used previously.

I have a MCE remote receiver and a harmony 880 remote. Harmony believes
I have a MCE device. I use the sample lircd.conf and lircrc files from
the lirc package for MCE. This made configuration brainless with FC4.

I can run irw and see the key presses. The remote seems to be working
correctly. However, when I use xine to play a dvd or video file, the
remote appears to do nothing.

Here are the packages installed:
xine-lib-1.1.1-2.fc5
xine-0.99.4-4.fc5
lirc-0.8.1-cvs20060325_58.rhfc5.at
lirc-kmdl-2.6.16-1.2111_FC5-0.8.1-cvs20060325_58.rhfc5.at
lirc-devices-0.7.0-1.rhfc5.at
lirc-lib-0.8.1-cvs20060325_58.rhfc5.at

I can't figure out what I am missing. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Michael
