Hi, Matthias

I would like to tell you what I've done to make everything work (even for
FC5).
I installed from ATrpms:

faad2-2.5-7.fc6.at.i386.rpm
faad2-devel-2.5-7.fc6.at.i386.rpm
libmp4v2_0-1.25-1.fc6.at.i386.rpm

Then, I recompiled the current freshrpms ffmpeg with these packages
installed.
At last, I recompiled vlc-0.8.6 using the recompiled version of freshrpms
ffmpeg (not the embedded one).

For FC5, I also installed from ATrpms

faac-1.25-1.fc5.at.i386.rpm
faac-devel-1.25-1.fc5.at.i386.rpm
libfaac0-1.25-1.fc5.at.i386.rpm

and recompiled, from freshrpms (FC6 version), ffmpeg, x264.

Everything is working fine now.

If your version of vlc could include jack and goom it would be perfect ...

/Paulo Roma.
