The new version 0.8.6 I recompiled did not use shared ffmpeg anymore.
They should have changed that.

Oh, it does.

I use goom from ATrpms, and it works very nice in vlc.

I can give you my spec file if you want. I think it is a mixture from yours
and the original one form vlc.
