Ok, I finally got around to switching back to stock kernels form my fc6 laptop (hp nw8000) and the latest ati drivers started to wake from suspend again. Those that have fedora kernels the 8.30 that mathias has there seemed to work the best. The 8.32.5 suspends just fine when running 2.6.19.2. If someone has the time/interest it might be worth checking out wether the Dave Jones kernels fix it also: http://people.redhat.com/davej/kernels/Fedora/FC6/1.2888.fc6/i686/ I'm guessing they do, but I just don't have the time to try them out... cheers, Tommi "Kynde" Kyntola Matthias Saou wrote: > [email protected] wrote : > >> On Thu, 11 Jan 2007, Matthias Saou wrote: >> >>> Here you go : >>> http://ftp.es6.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/fedora/linux/testing/6/ >>> >>> I'd be interested in knowing how well these perform for all of those >>> who were having issues (mostly suspend issues) with post 8.29 drivers, >>> as I'd really like to push some recent drivers to the main repository. >> Hibernate is not working on Compaq Presario v5000: >> >> 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M 5955 (PCIE) >> >> It does not crash as 8.31, just disables the keyboard and >> the network (NetworkManager), but not going ahead with the >> hibernation process.
