What architecture is this on? BTW, xine uses its own internal snapshot of ffmpeg, it's normally in xine-lib, but has been removed to get xine-lib into Extras, thus is now in the xine-lib-moles packages from freshrpms. Maybe you just don't have it installed, and xine is confused?
