I often wonder why no one ever seems to suggest the right solution :
Ask nicely if it wouldn't be possible to split out the "compat" 32bit
stuff of the x86_64 package, since not everyone needs it.

I'll be more than happy to do that once I get back from holidays, or
include a patch to the current spec file if anyone beats me to it ;-)
