Hi, I just replaced my old, trusty A7N8x-E Deluxe mobo by a new, shiny Intel DG33BU. Installing Fedora 7 on it was ok and fast (~20min), but there was no network. I downloaded latest kernel from another computer and was able to bring up network. Along with the new kernel I manually downloaded and installed: dkms-2.0.16-1.fc7.noarch.rpm nvidia-x11-drv-100.14.11-1.fc7.x86_64.rpm nvidia-x11-drv-32bit-100.14.11-1.fc7.x86_64.rpm (BTW: do I really need the drv32 RPM? What for?) I upgraded the kernel to latest version: kernel-2.6.22.1-41.fc7.x86_64.rpm When I rebooted the first time, nvidia driver build failed saying I didn't have kernel sources. I then realized I haven't installed kernel-devel. Downloaded it, installed it, rebooted. No joy. I then realized kernel-headers hasn't been upgraded (please cut me some slack, it was almost midnight ;-)). Upgraded it, rebooted, still no joy. What happens is that dkms start installing nvidia driver, but fails after a short while with "bad exit status 10". It's not a problem with dkms, because dkms-ntfs-2.1.28-2.noarch.rpm is installed and working fine. I am not at home right now, so I will not be able to give further details until I come back home in a couple of hours, but hopefully the info above will allow someone to help me with this issue... I didn't know where to look for logs (neither /var/log/messages nor dmesg shows me anything about this failure), but I just found this thread which might be helpful: http://lists.freshrpms.net/pipermail/freshrpms-list/2007-July/014810.html Still, I'd really appreciate any help. TIA Andre
