Fedora 7 - trying to re-encode some videos for my BlackBerry, I now get this output: Audio LAVC, couldn't find encoder for codec mp3. My commandline: mencoder <INFILE> -o <OUTFILE> -of avi -ovc lavc -oac lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=230:acodec=mp3:abitrate=64 -vf scale=320:180 This worked perfectly on FC6, I wrote a scriptlet that's used by a lot of people - I'm trying to re-encode the same source videos to a new, different resolution. A Google search returns two promising hits that something changed in mencoder/mplayer CVS: http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-users/2005-November/056801.html http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-users/2005-November/056803.html Those threads are old, but seem to mirror the exact situation that I have now - lame (and every other audio/video package you can think of) is installed, and this same problem happens on two different FC7 machines. Anyone have an idea where to go from here? Is this something that could be fixed in the RPMs, or....? thx, -te -- Troy Engel | Systems Engineer Fluid, Inc | http://www.fluid.com
