Matthias, I found a forum with the same problem and a patch that seems 
to work for people, might we get a new package of the 96xx driver?

An NV employee "zander" said in that thread "Yes, we plan on addressing 
this in the regular and legacy drivers, eventually." so who knows when 
any official fixes will be forthcoming.
