After big fights I have no choice but to share this with you! I've RedHat AS4, installed and yummed with no problems; its on a AMD64 CPU Architecture and running just fine; tried to install Oracle 10g RDBMS x86_84 architecture on this machine; during the installation I got the error: error in invoking target 'install' of make file .../ins_ctx.mk on x86_64 after inspecting the "InstallActionsXXXX" file found the following: INFO: /usr/bin/ld : skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat- linux/2.96/libgcc.a when searching for -lgcc /usr/bin/ld: warning : i386 architecture of input file '/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386- redhat-linux/2.96/crtend.o' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output In my lib folder I have both i386-redhat-linux and x86_64-redhat-linux I have a feeling that I have double install of these two libraries for both architecture; I am not sure now how to clean this mess and which library I need to uninstall or how to get this corrected. if someone can hint me how to clean this that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- Timo - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-gcc" in the body of a message to [email protected] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
