software raid1 on gentoo

Hai,

         I have tried to installed gentoo with software RAID1  using the 
document in the following link. 
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Gentoo_Install_on_Software_RAID_mirror_and_LVM2_on_top_of_RAID

         When I tried to boot it is not booting up.It is saying that 
"Kernel panic: VFS unable to find the root fs on unknown block magic (9,3)".

          Can anybody help me.
