Successful Alpha Install

If anyone is keeping track of Alpha installations, I was able to install 
Gentoo 1.4 RC1 on my old AlphaStation 200 4/166 over the weekend.

It's not the fastest thing in the world, but it's really nice to have a 
"modern" Linux distro on it. It was running FreeBSD/Alpha before moving 
it to Linux.

The only issue I came accross was putting the right label on the 
partitions... for the /boot partition (which is Ext2) is was clear what 
to set it as, but for the rest I had to stop and think about it for a 
while. (I settled on tagging it as Ext2 - even when it's formatted 
ReiserFS, and it's working fine.)

Now it's running an update world, which I'm guessing will take several 
days. =)
