cannot enable executable stack as required

Hi,

can anyone give me any pointers as to how to get around this? It
occurs when building stage2 and groff falls over during configure.

The only thing google gives is simething about exec-shield which seems
to have something to do with grsecurity or PaX or something, but I'm
at a loss.
